Lawson Visits Hall of Fame
Connecticut Sun guard Kara Lawson visited the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame Wednesday to participate in the MVP’s of Character program.
An eight-year WNBA veteran and former University of Tennessee star, Lawson spoke to boys and girls from the Summer School of Springfield and the Twain School of West Springfield, stressing the importance of hard work while also sharing her own experiences as an athlete and a student.
The MVP’s of Character program invites prominent figures from various walks of life to speak with groups of students and teachers about their experiences as they relate to the development of productive, responsible citizens.
