The San Antonio Silver Stars exercise option on Laura Harper
SAN ANTONIO, TX – The San Antonio Silver Stars have exercised the team option on forward/center Laura Harper’s contract through 2011, it was announced today by General Manager and Head Coach Dan Hughes.
“We are thrilled to have Laura in San Antonio through 2011,” said Hughes.
The Stars drafted Harper in the WNBA’s dispersal draft of Sacramento Monarchs players in December. In two seasons with Sacramento, the 6-5 forward/center averaged 5.0 points, 3.7 rebounds and 15.2 minutes in 67 games played with the Monarchs. She had a career - high 12 rebounds at Atlanta (7/22/08) and finished the 2008 season ranked 15th in the WNBA in total offensive rebounds (68).
