Patricia Miller, Sarah Fisher and April Morris Headline Inspiring Women Night presented by the U.S. Coast Guard and Merrill Lynch

Indiana’s first Secretary of Commerce, an IndyCar driver and an award-winning entrepreneur and sales leader headline the Indiana Fever’s Inspiring Women Night presented by the U.S. Coast Guard and Merrill Lynch, August 13, when the Fever hosts the Phoenix Mercury in a rematch of the 2009 WNBA Finals.

      The evening begins at 5:45 p.m. with a pregame reception featuring Patricia Miller, co-founder and co-president of Vera Bradley and the state’s first Secretary of Commerce; Sara Fisher, the renowned local female race car driver who has competed in nine Indianapolis 500 races – the most for a woman; and April Morris, founder of Express Effects and creator of THINgloss. Tipoff between the Fever and Mercury is 7:00 p.m.

      Miller, Fisher and Morris highlight the Fever’s annual Inspiring Women Night which honors women of distinction. Past featured guests include Hall of Fame University of Tennessee coach Pat Summitt in 2009; ABC News’ “Good Morning America” co-anchor Robin Roberts in 2008; and former Fever and U.S. Olympic coach Anne Donovan in 2007.

      All three inspiring women – Miller, Fisher and Morris – will take part in a pregame reception for VIPs from 5:45 to 7:00 p.m. Networking opportunities with guests and dignitaries will take place prior to speaking presentations from each of the three honored guests.
